Construction Updates


Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW)

  • Seventy-seven (77) monopiles have been installed by the ORION as of September 24. Foundation installation is complete for 2024 and will resume May 1, 2025.

  • Unexploded Ordinance (UXO) relocation is ongoing along the export cable corridor.

  • Cable installation vessel LIVING STONE is preparing for export cable installation.


Revolution Wind

  • Fifty-two (52) monopiles have been installed as of September 30.

  • Four (4) wind turbine generators have been installed as of September 30.

  • Wind Turbine Installation Vessel (WTIV) SCYLLA is installing wind turbine generator components.

  • The BOKALIFT 2 is installing monopile foundations while the BOKALIFT 1 installs secondary steel at existing foundations.

  • SEAWAY AIMERY is performing inter-array cable (IAC) installation.

  • J.D. Assister is performing post-IAC burial.

  • PAUL CANDIES is performing wind turbine commissioning.


South Fork Wind

  • Wind turbine installation and commissioning is complete is complete.


Vineyard Wind

  • Twenty-nine (29) out of sixty-two (62) complete wind turbines have been installed as of September 24.

  • Forty-seven (47) out of sixty-two (62) monopiles have been installed as of September 24.

  • Forty-seven (47) out of sixty-two (62) transition pieces have been installed as of August 20.

  • The trenching support vessel (TSV) SYMPHONY is on scene performing post cable burial for the Vineyard Wind inter-array cable.

  • The cable installation vessel (CSV) CONNECTOR is on scene performing inter-array cable installation.

  • Wind Turbine Installation Vessel (WTIV) SEA INSTALLER is on scene installing wind turbine generator components.

Speed Read
