June 2024 U.S. Offshore Wind Update

Projects


Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW)

  • Seven (7) monopiles have been installed by the ORION as of June 10.

  • Unexploded Ordinance (UXO) relocation is ongoing along the export cable corridor.

  • Rock installation vessel, YELLOWSTONE is being mobilized to start around the end of June.

  • Nearshore construction off the coast of the State Military reservation is due to begin.

  • The first phase of Direct Pipe installation was completed in March 2024.

 

Revolution Wind

  • Eight (8) turbine foundations have been installed as of June 13.

  • The BOKALIFT 2 is installation monopile foundations while the BOKALIFT 1 installs secondary steel at existing foundations.

  • The Wyatt Candies has completed boulder relocation at foundation sites.

  • Monopiles are being delivered on scene for ship-to-ship transfer.

  • Secondary steel components are being loaded at Prov Port.

South Fork Wind

  • Wind turbine installation is complete and the project is in final stages of construction.


Starboard Wind

  • Survey work is ongoing.


Sunrise Wind

  • Survey work is ongoing.


Vineyard Wind

  • Twenty (20) out of sixty-two (62) complete wind turbines have been installed as of June 11.

  • Forty-seven (47) out of sixty-two (62) monopiles have been installed as of June 11.

  • Forty-seven (47) out of sixty-two (62) transition pieces have been installed as of June 11.

  • The SEA CHALLENGER is on scene installing transition pieces.

Vessels


Charybdis: The first newbuild U.S. flag, Jones Act wind turbine installation vessel (WTIV) was successfully launched to water at Seatrium AmFELS shipyard in Brownsville, Texas. Vessel construction will be completed at wet berth.

ECO Edison: The first newbuild U.S. flag, Jones Act service operation vessel (SOV) is commissioned and delivered to Prov Port in Rhode Island for client Orsted.

Windea Enterprise: The 98.4 ft newbuild crew transfer vessel (CTV) built by St. Johns Ship Building in Palatka, FL for Windea CTV is undergoing sea trials.
